“We own a cottage on the shore of Georgian Bay and we were looking for a contractor to help us build an extension over our garage to add two bedrooms and a bathroom. I asked around amongst friends and was introduced to Laurence and Olivier Construction.After reviewing his quote in detail and various discussions we decided to hire him for the project and have no regrets about that decision. We have had a fair bit of experience as a family with renovations and look for five things in a contractor:

• The quality of the work they carry out and the overall experience with the contractor and his trades

• The level of on-going communication they provide on progress, issues management and the budget

• Keeping to the agreed schedule giving consideration to the inevitable bumps that occur in any project

• Follow up on any issues we find on completion and prompt correction of these

• The overall billing and the fairness of charges for extra work that is needed.

Overall we were very happy with the project and as we look at our cottage now it’s very hard to tell the extension wasn’t a core part of the original building. We would certainly use Laurence again and are happy to recommend him.”
